ADHD assessment software update: online booking, patient payments, and GP profile marketing now live

Velluto ADHD assessment software update: online booking, payments, and GP marketing features

Most GPs offering ADHD assessments spend their evenings doing admin. Chasing bookings, following up payments, updating directory listings, and wondering why patients can’t find them online. This week’s Velluto update tackles all of it.

Every feature below is live now. If you already have a Velluto account, you’ll see them the next time you log in.

Online booking for ADHD assessments

Patients searching for an ADHD assessment near them can now book directly from your MySpecialistGP profile. No phone calls, no email chains, no reception staff playing phone tag at 4:55pm on a Friday.

What this means for your practice: A patient searches “ADHD assessment near me” at 10pm on a Tuesday. They find your profile on MySpecialistGP, read your credentials, check your pricing, and book their initial consultation. They pay upfront. By the time you check Velluto the next morning, their assessment is created and their intake forms are already on the way.

That entire workflow happened without anyone in your practice lifting a finger.

To enable this, select “MySpecialistGP Online” as your booking system in Settings. Your profile page will display a live calendar with your available appointment slots.

Upfront patient payments that eliminate no-shows

Late cancellations and no-shows are one of the most expensive problems in private GP practice. A single missed ADHD assessment slot can cost $350 or more in lost revenue and wasted preparation time.

Velluto now supports upfront payment collection. When a patient books through your profile, they receive a payment link immediately. They have 24 hours to pay. If they don’t, the booking is automatically cancelled and the calendar slot is released for someone else.

How the payment flow works:

  1. Patient books through your MySpecialistGP profile
  2. They receive a payment link for your consultation fee (e.g. $350 for an initial ADHD assessment)
  3. They pay within 24 hours to confirm their booking
  4. Once paid, their intake forms are sent and the pre-consult preparation begins

Payments go directly to your own Stripe account. Velluto does not hold your funds or take a cut of patient payments.

Promotion codes are supported too. If you want to offer a discounted or complimentary initial assessment for a specific patient, create a promo code in your Stripe dashboard and share it with them.

Your GP profile, optimised for search engines and AI discovery

Patient discovery has shifted. Increasingly, patients find their GP through Google searches, AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and specialist directories rather than through practice websites or word of mouth. A strong clinical reputation still matters, but it needs to be visible where patients are actually looking.

Every MySpecialistGP profile built through Velluto is structured for three audiences: human visitors, search engines, and AI tools.

Search engine optimisation (SEO): Your profile page is built with proper heading hierarchy, schema markup, meta descriptions, and keyword-relevant content. When someone searches “ADHD assessment GP [your suburb]” or “adult ADHD diagnosis near me,” your profile is structured to rank.

AI engine optimisation (AEO): AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews are increasingly how patients research health services. Your Velluto-built profile is structured so these tools can parse your credentials, services, pricing, and availability. When a patient asks an AI “which GPs near me do ADHD assessments,” your profile has the structured data to be cited.

What you can control: Go to Settings and open “My MSGP Listing” to update your profile directly from Velluto:

  • Professional photo
  • Credentials and qualifications (rendered as structured data, not just text)
  • Consultation fees and pricing tiers (transparent pricing builds trust and ranks well)
  • Telehealth availability
  • Booking preferences
  • Personal quote or bio

Changes sync automatically to your live profile. No separate login, no waiting for someone to update a directory listing for you.

Why this matters: The GPs who are building busy ADHD assessment practices tend to have two things in common: clinical skill and online visibility. Velluto handles the visibility side. Your profile appears when patients search, your pricing is transparent, and your booking is frictionless. You focus on the clinical work.

Redesigned help centre with AI-powered search

The in-app help section has been rebuilt with a searchable article library covering every part of the platform.

Type a question in plain English and the help widget finds the most relevant article. It draws from our full knowledge base, so you get specific, practical answers rather than having to email support and wait.

Five new articles have been added covering the most common setup questions from GPs starting their first ADHD assessment workflow.

Multi-state timezone support for ADHD assessments

For GPs who practise in more than one state, Velluto now handles timezone differences correctly. Your practice timezone is set during registration and all appointment times, reminder schedules, and calendar feeds display in your local time. This matters for telehealth ADHD assessments where the patient may be in a different timezone to the GP.

Patient Medicare number and address capture

Patient records now capture Medicare number and home address during the booking process. These fields appear on the patient detail page and in the assessment overview, so you have the billing information you need without a separate phone call or form.

This is particularly relevant for telehealth ADHD assessments where Medicare rebates may apply. Having the Medicare number captured upfront means less admin on consult day.

  • System alerts: Targeted in-app announcements keep you informed about new features and important updates, right at the top of your dashboard.

  • Streamlined settings: Profile, Account details, My MSGP Listing, Payments. Organised in the order you actually use them.
  • Polished interface: Standardised headings, icons, and page layouts for a clean, consistent experience throughout the app.

What’s next for Velluto ADHD assessment software

We’re building multi-practice support for GPs who work across multiple clinics, observer completion notifications so patients know when their nominated observer has submitted, and bounced email handling with automatic alerts. These are targeted for Q2 2026.

Frequently asked questions

How does online booking work for ADHD assessments?

Patients find your MySpecialistGP profile, select an available time from your live calendar, and book directly. No phone calls or email chains required. If you have upfront payments enabled, the patient receives a payment link immediately after booking and has 24 hours to pay. Once paid, their intake forms are sent automatically.

What happens if a patient does not pay within 24 hours?

The booking is automatically cancelled and the calendar slot is released for other patients. Both the patient and the GP receive a notification. This eliminates no-shows and ensures your calendar only contains confirmed, paid appointments. See pricing for details on consultation fees.

Does Velluto take a cut of patient payments?

No. Payments go directly to your own Stripe account. Velluto does not hold your funds, take a commission, or charge transaction fees beyond standard Stripe processing fees. You connect your existing Stripe account in Settings. See pricing and plans for platform subscription details.
